Rock for the Cure
Motorcycle Ride
July 1, 2006

Wow!  This was an awesome event!!  On Saturday, July 1st we hosted our Ride For Breast Cancer!  Registration and breakfast began at Harley-Davidson of Indianapolis.  WFMS On Air Personality, Steve Stuart, broadcasted live during the registration to add to the excitement.  The many riders enjoyed the scenic ride through Northern Hamilton County with stops at Alexander’s Ice Cream Shop in Cicero, Shady’s Restaurant in Sheridan, Adam’s Biker Outlet in Carmel before ending at Kelly’s Grille in Fishers.  Once the riders arrived at Kelly’s Grille, they were greeted by Steve Reeves from Steel Horse on UPN, who filmed our event for his show the following week.  The riders enjoyed lots of good food and live music from Special Purpose.  Our very own Rock For The Cure™ member, Marni, got up and sang a few songs with the band.  The Iron Pigs of Central Indiana, Kelly’s Grille, Beth Bey, Steve Reeves of Steel Horse and Adam’s Biker Outlet were instrumental in helping us to make this event a true success.  We cannot thank them enough!!  Thanks to all of our sponsors we were able to raise $2,096.63 in our fight to find a cure!  We had many participants tell us that they are looking forward to ride again in 2007!  So, mark it on your calendars for Saturday, June 30th, 2007.  As Steve Reeves of Steel Horse says, “Be There!”
