2008 RIDE REVIEW

2008 ROCK FOR THE CURE

RIDE FOR BREAST CANCER

Saturday, June 28th, 2008 started out with cloud cover and brought with it lots of "liquid sunshine."  But that did not stop out riders.  A good number of people braved the elements to join us for our 3rd annual Ride For Breast Cancer.

We started off at Harley-Davidson of Indianapolis with Angela from STEEL HORSE interviewing our survivors and riders.  One of our sponsors, Kris from Costco, joined us again this year.

The riders would go visit Noblesville Honda, Adam's Biker Outlet (Carmel), Dairy Queen in Clermont and IndyWest Harley Davidson (Plainfield) before making there way to the Longacre Bar & Grill for food, fun, prizes, and great music!  We were blessed that the rain cleared up and sun came out for our end of the ride festivities.  Steve from STEEL HORSE joined us again at the Longacre to talk to the riders and he even graced us with a little song.

The musical entertainment was provided by two of the best acoustic acts in the region, SPECIAL PURPOSE and NATURAL BLONDE.  While announcing our big prize winners and auctioning off some very special prizes, we celebrated our ROCK FOR THE CURE birthday girls, CAROLYN, TRISH and MARNI!

Thanks to all the riders, stop sponsors, donation sponsors and all the folks who joined us at the Longacre we raised $4500 for breast cancer research!  What started out as a gloomy rainy day turned out to be a beautiful day full of love, caring and hope!
